Dr Owens was given a plaque in appreciation in his continued support of HOPE Dental Clinic. He is a retired dentist who lives locally and volunteers frequently at the clinic. He is Adjunct faculty for Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and is the clinics primary Dr that oversees the Baylor students at the clinic. The students get academic credit for coming to HOPE Clinic and seeing patients. Many students have praised Dr Owens for his knowledge and willingness to help
